Why This Studio

I grew up in Florida, trained at FIU in Miami, and now practice in Seattle. That is not a bio detail, it is the whole design philosophy. A house in South Florida has to fight glare, hurricanes, and concrete's honesty. A house in the Pacific Northwest has to hold quiet, wood, and grey light. Most architects only ever learn one language. I design fluently in both, and that means I know how to actually listen to a site instead of importing a style onto it.
